computers.
OLfolderscanbeusedparalleltoanexistingMicrosoftExchange
server,forexampletosharedatainasmallworkgrouphavingtheir
ownpublicfolderswithoutpermissiontocreatenewpublicfolders
atExchange.

OLfoldersallowscompanywidesharingofcontacts,appointments,
tasks,emails,journalentriesandallotherkindsofOutlook
objectsincludinguserdefinedforms.Optionallycertainfoldersand
elementscanbereadorwrite-protectedforcertainusers.Accessto
sharedfoldersworkexactlythesameasaccesstopersonalfolders,
allfeaturesofOutlookareavailableinsharedfolders.
Theintegratedmailserverforinternalandexternalmailextends
thefunctionalityofOLFolders,itmanagesinternalemail
transmissionandconnectstotheinternetinordertoreceiveand
sendexternalmails,filtersspamandviruses,deliversemails
directlytosharedfolders.
